Meet the face
behind the posts
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my page, I really appreciate your support. I do hope your time here was worthwhile so far.
I'm Kathryn Chia, an aspiring medic and am currently in sixth form at a boarding school in the UK.
I'm still pretty new to all of this and am very excited for what is to come. I'd love to hear from you and feel free to let me know what you'd like to see on this page!
Why I started this page
I started with the aim of giving students who are interested in pursuing a healthcare related degree in University easy access to a variety of information related to the healthcare field, so that they could find out more about what they're passionate about, as well as to help them make informed decisions about university. With the Covid-19 outbreak, I myself was worried about the lack of work experience opportunities available, to find out more about what it means to be a doctor in a clinical setting. I realised that many other aspiring medics all over the world must be in this situation too, and started this blog so that as a community, we could all help one another! It's been really fun sharing what I'm passionate about so far!
More about me
Me at a Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition
One of my favourite hobbies is Rhythmic Gymnastics! I've been doing it since I was 8 and still love it to this day! My favourite thing about it is making new routines and learning new tricks. It is also a great way for me to relieve any stress I have and it's a fun way to have some exercise. I love going overseas for competitions and spending time at training sessions with my friends

Pineapple tarts I baked for my family during Chinese New Year
Another thing I love to do in my spare time is baking! Honestly my favourite part about it is eating the things I've baked fresh out of the oven, as well as eating cookie dough from unbaked cookies.
This is one of my favourite foods! It's called "Roti Prata" and is an Indian-influenced flatbread dish, that is popular in Singapore. I love to eat mine with some fish curry or some kaya (coconut spread). When I'm in Singapore, my parents and I eat this almost every weekend.
